Welcome to our website! We’re here to help you grill pork chops, share grilling techniques, recipes and share other great resources on the web with you. Like anything, there are many variables when cooking or grilling. So, the exact answer is going to change. However, we’ll start with some basics and expand our website as time goes on. Pork chops are a lot like steaks in the fact that searing them keeps in the flavor. We like to crank up the grill and get it as hot as you can. When you’re ready, sear the pork chops on each side for approximately 45 seconds to a minute. Once you’re done searing, turn down the heat on the grill or move the pork chops to an upper rack. This is a variable part. If you have a charcoal grill, you’ll want to limit the airflow to help reduce the burn rate and the heat. If you have a gas grill, you can just turn the heat down a little. You want the area of the grill that you are cooking your pork chops running about 400 degrees which is about 75% of what most grills can do in the summer time. Depending on the thickness of your pork chops, the average is 6-10 minutes to cook to perfection. Obviously, the really thin pork chops take less time than the thick pork chops. As we build out the content of the website, we’ll recommend recipes, provide pictures and collect tips from our readers! If you have tips, let us know and we’ll post them. If you take pictures, even better! We’ll also find other resources about grilling, cooking, unique recipes, popular recipes, great ways to use left over food and anything we can to make us all better at grilling! Please contact us anytime with feedback.
